Chicago--How a City's Street Art Reflects Feelings of The People

Last month I went to Chicago to visit my best friend who recently moved there. I had been to Chicago twice before, but since the short trips were for specific events, I had only stayed at The Loop (Downtown-Chicago). This specific trip wasn’t pompous like my previous ones. I didn't take any cabs, and I didn't wear any heels.  I stayed at my friends small apartment in Lakeview East and explored Chicago from the POV of a working professional. Lakeview East felt like a This city full of the largest population of Latinos.

The streets of Pilsen screamed we won’t go.  My most memorable sight was this art wall that read “Document Me”.  This is a direct jab to the immigration issue that we have been facing as a nation.  You can tell that the people of the community want visitors to know how they feel about the state of immigration in Chicago.

I walked into the Studio Oh Gallery to see an exhibition around Chicago gun violence.
