WHM Lookback:

Tea With 23

A high vibe tea party curated for the Jordan woman.

To the right:

Did you ever think to bring together wellness and your love for sneakers?

Neither had I until my friends at In Her Soles Collective introduced me to Tea With 23, a tea party for sneaker aficionados and creators held at Soho House New York last year.

I believe that it’s through creative remixes and cultural pairings/ connections like Tea With 23 that we reclaim who we are and leave a legacy no one can erase. After all, an adult tea party is quite a stunner to wear your favorite J’s.

In Her Soles Collective welcomed its guests with teas suitable for womb care like Hibiscus (Flor de Jamaica,) Chamomile (Manzanilla), and a traditional Dominican Tea home blend for a fabulous Women’s History Month celebration in anticipation for the Jordan Women’s Collective Launch. A few members of the collective including strategist and entrepreneur Yaya Mazurkevich Nuñez, model and socialite Annette Cruz, Writer, Model and Vintage Curator Marissa Bryant, and footwear marketing executive Brianna Gazelle were in attendance, as well as Valentina Padilla,

The edgy tea party activities kept us working the floor with sounds by Power 105.1’s DJ Steph Cakes, tea glove cuztomization with A-Morir Studio, Euphoria inspired jewel bar and a portrait session with talented Bronx raised photographer Cheryl Sanchez. Yes, it was that dope.

As for the details to my look; it was definitely inspired by my love for pink, pinup art and sneakers. I paired a Rent The Runway skirt and polo top with my Pink Snake Skin 11’s and my green and pink Peach Socks.
